Color Therapy Pt. 2
continuing …
Color therapy can also be a part of your therapeutic meditation.
Given the unique frequencies and vibrations of various colors, people believe that certain colors entering the body can activate hormones causing chemical reactions within the body, then influencing emotion and enabling the body to heal. Remember the modern medical treatment of juvenile jaundice.
In qigong there is a type meditation based on color. Depending on your problem you meditate on different colors and hold that color in your mind’s eye. In one of these meditation you relate different light to different organs.
This is not a far fetched as you might think at first sight. There is some modern research into how each organ is related to certain vibrations. I was told by my editor that her daughter, a R.N. neonatal nurse specialist, had published a paper on this subject. The body has a general vibration, but each organ in that context has its own normal general vibration. When the vibration is abnormal, like figuratively speaking having a fever or abnormal pulse, some up to date medical practitioners expose the body to that vibration in sound. This speeds healing and at times causes healing itself.
How did the ancient chinese healers understand this? But they did. They did not use sound vibration but rather color vibration; every color has it’s own vibration. But it is all the same principle. It is intended to bring the body’s organs to normal vibration. When that has been accomplished, the problem must go away or is gone.
When you see color, you see vibration. The mind interprets the color as vibration and stores that memory of that color as vibration. So when you think of that color, say green, your mind is remembering that vibration.
Now put that vibration memory into the organs.
There is a saying in qigong that where the mind goes the chi, life force, goes. So, when you think of a particular organ, and the related organs, being its correct color, you are putting that vibration into that organ just as sound therapy does in modern medicine.
What qigong light color meditation does is cause you during your meditation or sleepy state to visualize the correct light illuminating the problem organ and related problem areas. You thereby send that particular chi vibration to that area to deal with the problem.
The Chinese system talked about 5 organ. These are considered the major organ, while other organ are considered subordinate to one, occasionally two, of the major organs.
So the chi master, who practices this form of healing,
ascertains the organ at issue. He then assists you in meditating to the color application on that organ and problem. He is doing color therapy with the mind.
For example, here is a possible scenario. Say you come to the master with an asthma problem.
Of course, that is obviously a lung problem. The therapeutic color for the lungs is pure white light.
You might in meditation of you choice do white light therapy for the lungs. You visualize breathing in pristine white light into your lungs. Then, at the pause between the inhalation and the exhalation, you see the lungs filled with beautiful white light. Next as you exhale you leave the white light behind and exhale everything that is not white light. You exhale dark light. As you are repeating this, your lungs themselves begin to glow with white light. When they are glowing radiating white, experience that vision for a while.
You are doing mental color therapy. Think of this maybe as putting the memory of that color vibration into the lungs. And your lungs return to their proper vibration, and heath is the expected result. Remember this is a therapy and may not be a one time cure.
Now let us take this to the next level.
So, you come to the master with a skin problem. Skin in Chinese medicine is a secondary organ related to the lungs; both breathe. With that skin problem presenting the master would direct you to a white light lung meditation as before with an addition. After the lungs are glowing in radiant white light, after they are filled to overflowing with white light, do not exhale the white. Direct on the exhale the white light to the problem area of the skin. As that begins to glow with white light, direct that light coming from the lungs to all the skin in the body until it is glowing in white light like the lungs. You are doing healing color therapy.
Kidneys and related organs are blue light. A similar meditation would be done only mentally inhaling blue light into the kidneys, etc. Yes, you are actually breathing into the lungs, but you are mentally breathing blue light into the kidneys. This blue light is like the blue ocean, water. That is good way to remember it.
The liver and related organs are green light, bile produced by the liver is green.
The heart and related organs are red light. Think of a big red heart.
The spleen and related organs are yellow light.
If there is a problem that is not really major organ related, you would breath all five of the colors into the problem in the same manner. The generally accepted sequence is white, blue, green, red, and then yellow. But the sequence may be less important than some might say.
For example in a cancer
give it all vibrations of light. Let it glow with each. Remember you are not fighting the cancer. You are just introducing that problem to light vibration. [If it is a generalized cancer just tell the light to go where it is supposed to go. And observe and be happy. Your subconscious know what needs to be done.]
This should give you some general parameters to put color therapy into your life. Use your intuition to mix and match.
Be creative. For example, if you are going to visit someone who is sick and you are going to bring flowers or a card, think about the color. In the case of a card, the color of the card may be more important than the sentiment written. If they have a kidney problem choose the card that is more predominantly blue. If they have a heart problem, a red card is best. Green is always good for healing. You are adding the correct colors into their environment. For flowers choose the color of the blossom likewise. And you might remember that the green is for healing. So, a lot of green stems and garnish might be good.
Color therapy is too simple to be true, but it is.
