Mantra Therapy Pt. 2
continued …
Similar in France there was the Charles Baudouin method of healing.
This also involved a mantra type approach to moving into health. Working in his native Switzerland and France he was made interested in this subject by Emile Coue.
He too encouraged people to do his mantra method while in a sleepy state. His addition to the mantra healing was to move from using an entire sentence to using just a phrase. What he would have the person do is reduce the main idea of the sentence, which stated they wanted, to a phrase that encapsulated the idea sought.
For example, with Coue your mantra might be “Every day in every way I am better.” Now what Baudouin would do is take that down to a brief sum it up phrase. Possible it might be something like, “always better”.
When the person had come up with this phrase, he had, because he was constructing it in relation to the total sentence, packed all of the ideas of that sentence in the brief phrase, if for no one else, for himself. It made no difference if others saw all the ideas in the sentence in his brief phrase. He had made the phrase for himself; it was his. His subconscious would hear that phrase with all the content of the full sentence.
After the phrase was constructed, it would be used instead of the whole sentence as the mantra. And his subconscious by its use would receive the full content of the sentence. Other than that change to the phrase, the mantra therapy is done the same as Coue would have done it.
If a hypnotist is used,
the client can be given the sentence of intent and he could reduce it to a phrase. The hypnotist would then induce the patient and use that phrase for all or key in his script of suggestion. The hypnotist might just mantra for the the client. This is called hetero suggestion. [If you at sleepy time mentally do it for yourself, it is auto suggestion.]
One of the reasons that affirmations do not work for many is because they do it while in full beta consciousness. It they are done in sleepy time they have the potential of being very powerful indeed.
Again it makes no difference if the hypnotist knows the relationship of the phrase to the full sentence. The patient’s subconscious would receive the full sentence ideas by the brief phrase, because it is his phrase.
I have found that the brief phrase is more useful to me. When you are in a sleepy state, the full sentence gets muddled sometimes, and you get lost where you are at in the mantra. In that brief phrase the mantra is easier to repeat mentally for me.
One of the greatest books that covers alternative healing is The Power of Your Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murphy. If you have not read it you should. But I always had a hard time remembering the long things that he was having some one say at sleepy time. When I grasped Baudouin mantra, I was able to reduce the long scripts of Murphy to a sentence and then to a phrase, and the Murphy type scripts became easily usable.
This brings us to what I will call the magic word mantra. If you can reduce the phase to one word then that one word can be used to the same effect. If you reduce “Every day in every way I am better” to “always better”, you can then reduce that phrase to one word, say “better”. In that context it would give you the full effect of the entire sentence. Then your mantra is just “better”. Better is your magic word.
Now the next possibility is using a wizard word. The wizards of old
were noted for using strange words when they were doing manifestations. [Of course here we are talking about manifesting a successfully completed healing, more specifically manifesting health.]
Why did the wizards use these strange made up words?
Common words have baggage. You have been using the words that will be your mantra for years or decades. Some of the content of those years of usage will piggyback on the word that you end up choosing for your magic word. Usually this is not significant. But it can be at times.
To avoid that rare issue, the wizards would make up a word. It would not be a real word in their language. It was strictly speaking a made up word. That is the word they would use in their manifesting, here healings.
Since this new word had no previous content, it has only the content of the proposed mantra sentence and phrase. On one level this is very powerful because when that wizard’s word is implanted on the subconscious it carries only the intended content. It delivers pure intent.
The subconscious is not burdened with extra baggage to deal with also. If you will, it is a focused completely blueprinting. In a figure you are not taking a watered down medication.
So if you can make up a word to encapsulate the intended sentence and phrase, it is a more pristine way to create a powerful mantra.
If you are not used to making up words, that may not be an easy thing to do. Remember it is a new word for you. That is not that it is a new word to some others. The watering down of the mantra word comes with your personal baggage in that word.
First, you might consult a thesaurus.
In a large thesaurus you will find many synonyms [words and phrases] that you have never seen or heard before. That would be for you and your background a source of words without baggage.
You may choose one of them. And when you use it, you will have the same utilitarian effect as if you had made up a word. [Side effect you will be expanding your vocabulary.]
Second, you can choose a foreign language that you do not know. Then translate your mantra word to the unknown word in that foreign language.
When you use it, you will have a pristine, for you, word to implant the pure ideas of the intent sentence. I usually use this translation option when I am doing wizard word type healing.
Mantra Therapy is amazing. It is too simple to be true, but it is.
