Rubbing the Belly Therapy
Some of you are already saying that I have gone nuts. Rubbing the belly as a healing therapy. That is too simple to be true.
I was originally introduced to this therapy by John P. Milton.
He did not say that it would solve every health problem, but it was one of the therapies that he present as good for longevity.
When I was going to write this section, I looked on the internet, and was surprised to find how much has been written about rubbing the belly.
Rubbing the belly as a healing therapy has been written about for over 6,000 years. It is claimed that this, generally self, massage improves the effectiveness of your digestive system by stimulating your body’s natural ability to detoxify and eliminate waste.
Tummy rubbing can also speed up your digestive system thereby maximizing the elimination of the sludge that builds up in intestines, which can be more than you think. I heard of one famous actor that had over 20 pounds of build up found during his autopsy. Some of the weight that you have been worrying about may just be this sludge.
When things stay in the digestive system, they begin to putrefy and and you are ingesting that poison into the rest of you body. If that does not make you out right sick, it can make you just feel bad and/or run down. For sure you will not be feel as good as you can with this build up. So there is obviously great health benefits in getting that old food moving and out.
This is what rubbing the belly can help you to do.
The first time I tried this I did it at bedtime and when I woke in the morning. And that very morning, I eliminated waste four times. It was not diarrhea; it was just waste that needed to come out.
There is an ancient Chinese story of a man who was sickly and not feeling good all the time. So he went to the mountain to ask the master about it.
He sat in front of the cave for hours and finally the master came out he looked at the man in went back in.
The man was upset, but continued to wait and the master in a few hours returned. He asked the master about his problems and the master just went back into the cave. The man waited. And in a few hours the master reappeared.
The man asked again. The master turned to go into the cave again, but he turned back and said, “Rub your belly.” Then he disappeared into the cave.
The man, having made the long trip, went away mad. That night he decided that he would just do that simple thing. What would it hurt? So he began to rub his stomach morning and evening. In a few weeks he was feeling much better and came into vibrant health.
Yes, rubbing the belly is just too simple a solution, but for many it solves their problems. It not only has physical results but there are energetic benefits also.
Before go any further there are some people for whom this is not a good thing to do.
Immediately after a heavy meal is not a good time to do this.
If you are pregnant rubbing the belly is not appropriate.
If you are suffering inflammation of feminine organs including the uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, or bladder, do not do this.
If you have stones of the bladder, kidneys, or gallbladder, avoid rubbing the stomach.
If you have high blood pressure, it is best not to tummy rub.
If you have a hernia, do not rub that area, you may lightly go over the skin to complete you circle.
If you have intestinal or stomach ulcers, look for another therapy.
If you have bleeding in the stomach, brains, or lungs, this is not for you.
If you have any concerns, check with your doctor.
Here are some benefits that may come from rubbing the belly.
It can help you to melt away fatty tissue.
It will improves your digestive efficiency.
It can help you detoxifies your intestines.
It will improve or completely address constipation.
It will stimulates the organs in your abdominal region.
It will increase the circulation in your abdominal region.
Mant attest that it may improve conditions like nausea, vomiting, symptoms of overeating, diarrhea, and indigestion.
Result can be expected with rubbing the belly morning and evening. But I have seen results much sooner. But you have to stick with it. The therapy is usually done twice a day before breakfast and before bed, but at least twice a day.
O.K. Here is the way that I have learned that works best for me. You are going to rub firmly but not hard in a clockwise manner around your belly button.
So, interlock your fingers and place them above your navel. Rub to your left, then down to below your navel, next to your right past your belly button, then up to above your belly button and you rub to where you started. Then repeat.
That is clockwise rubbing.
Many say that you should do this for 2 minutes. However, what do you do if you do not have a clock. One master said do it 81 times. It takes a second or a little more for each cycle, and you are close to that time. So, I set 81 cycles as my minimum. Then I throw in a couple more for good measure. Done.
Some do this laying down, while other do it standing. I do it standing. I often also do it as a start to my qigong exercise, Texas Spirit Bear Standing.
That is too simple to be true. But try it, and be surprise at the improvement that will begin to show up in your overall health and problems. This is true of problems that you would have never guessed could be related to rubbing your belly.
It is too simple to be true, but it is.
