What are Some Fasting Health Victories?

continued

Heart Disease

heart disease

Donald Hensrud, M.D. of the Mayo Clinic has written,

“… at least one study has indicated that people who follow a fasting diet may have better heart health than people who don’t.  …  Periodic fasting and better heart health may also be linked to the way your body metabolizes cholesterol and sugar. Regular fasting can decrease your low-density lipoprotein, or “bad,” cholesterol. It’s also thought that fasting may improve the way your body metabolizes sugar. This can reduce your risk of gaining weight and developing diabetes, which are both risk factors for heart disease.”

As we have discussed before, fasting redirects the body to stop getting nutritional requirements from new intake and start to cannibalize the stored nutrition.  It changes your metabolism.

The body tends to metabolise bad cells first.  So the first active process of a fast is to eliminate problems.  Some of those problems can be related to heart problems.  Once the problems are eliminated or drastically diminished, what is rebuilt at that site are the good things that your body in its DNA knew and still knows how to build.  It just needs the room and situation to do the rebuilding.  [When you were a baby, your body knew how to build itself.  Your body has not gone senile.]

I heard Dr. Deepak Chopra

deepak chopra

says that we know that a heart can repair and rebuild itself after a minor heart attack.  O.k.,  if we put the body in a fast to repair most efficiently and rebuild, who is to say that even major heart problems can not be repaired and the good structures rebuilt.

A therapeutic fast can work to bring the body to better levels of cardiac safety. Fasting, along with good nutrition before and after fasting, offers the possibility, some put it more strongly – the ability, to undo the damage done to the body from a variety of causes.  With remedial fasting a patient is able to walk back a cardiac issue, and sometimes very quickly, without the assumed to be required invasive medical procedures.  [I am not giving medical advise in any particular case.]  One doctor said results he had seen in patients using fasting were spectacular.

What about artery blockages?  They almost always seem to be quickly diminished or eliminated.  Many people who were assured by doctors that they need bypass surgery are textbook candidates for remedial fasting.  The same is true about angina.  Fasting turns on the self healing to remove the blood vessel plaque and to self-heal, often very quickly.

Except for an absolute time emergency issue.  People always have this choice. They can get the bums rush into surgery

or they can fast first,

and give the simple, natural, historic option a chance to work.

[I am not attacking the intent of many well meaning doctor.  I am just saying there may be another possibility outside their training and perspective.]
