What is cancer as related to alternatives?
The word cancer refers to a group of more than 100 diseases in which cells begin to grow out of control. This is what forms what is called a tumor. This can happen in any part of the body.
What is cancer as related to alternative therapies?
Since there are over 100 different types of cancers, there is no one directed treatment that is best for all. However if cancer is not looked at as an individual event in the body, it may be generally addressed as a holistic issue. That is addressing cancer as a whole body issue.
Four examples, if a cancer is started by a nutritional problem, adjusting your diet may not address the cancer directly, but may reverse the cancer indirectly.
If you have an acidic body, moving your body into an alkaline state may make the cancer remit.
If the particular cancer is inflammation related, you may deal with overall inflammatory response in the whole body and take care of the cancer.
If the issue comes from environmental pollutants, a total body cleanse may do it.
You are addressing something that is out of correct balance in the whole body and thereby banishing the cancer from your body. When something is out of control in the body or mind in general, individual parts of the body may go out of control. One example of that is cancer cells going out of control.
This points to a problem that seems to be endemic in modern cancer treatment. They directly attack the cancer, and leave the underlying cause uncorrected. Then there is cancer again. Suprise!
They view cancer as the problem. Cancer is not the problem. Rather cancer is a symptom of something else that is wrong. Address the real problem and the the symptom vanishes.
This modern approach makes no sense. If a certain child has a high fever, you can give him an aspirin and bring down the fever. Problem solved. One problem with that is if the cause of the fever was a side effect of strep throat,
and you do not deal with that. The fever will return. You have done nothing for the real problem. Granted sometimes you might need to deal with a dangerous fever, but you should deal with the strep.
This is the reason that we are in modern times losing the war on cancer. Did you know that around 1994 The Journal of Clinical Oncology wrote about a 12 year study on adult cancer? Probably not. They found that chemotherapy does not work overall 97% of the time. It at best delays the cancer, gives cancer a setback.
Why would that be? It could be because cancer is not a reductionist phenomenon. It is a holistic phenomenon. When you try to deal reductionistically with a holistic problem, you will fail. You are not fighting the war that you are in.
